Sociólogo de la Universidad de Concepción, Magíster en Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad de La Serena y Doctor en Ciencias de la Universidad de Melbourne, Australia. Su investigación busca desarrollar metodologías para integrar percepciones, valores y actitudes en procesos formales y estructurados para la toma de decisiones en materias ambientales. Actualmente, es responsable de un Proyecto FONDECYT de Iniciación denominado “Transformaciones institucionales para el manejo sustentable de sistemas socio-ecológicos costeros: toma de decisiones deliberativas en espacios de acción colectiva”.
