Currículum

Licenciada en Ciencias Biológicas y Doctora en Ciencias Biológicas, mención Ecología por la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Actualmente se desempeña como Profesora Titular, e Investigadora Asociada al Centro de Investigación e Innovación para el Cambio Climático (CiiCC). Su línea de investigación se relaciona con la ecología de poblaciones y comunidades intermareales, especialmente el estudio de la ecología y dinámica poblacional de sistemas hospedador-parásito. Impartiendo clases y como directora de tesis en estas áreas, ha contribuido a la formación de estudiantes de pre y post-grado. En la última década ha dirigido investigaciones enfocadas a evaluar el impacto ecológico del parasitismo en sistemas costeros afectados por el ser humano, publicando sus resultados en revistas de reconocido prestigio. Actualmente es co-investigadora del proyecto Fondecyt Regular: “Algae-herbivore interactions modulated by upwelling in the context of global warming”. Su quehacer académico y profesional lo ha vinculado con la divulgación científica y educación ambiental a través del curso-taller “Ecología y Cambio Climático para una Cultura Ciudadana”, impartido a la comunidad una vez al año por la UST.
